An innovator, tech enthusiast and 2023 President’s Club honoree, meet Brian Murphy, Lead Office Service Specialist at PROS. From overseeing and managing various administrative and support functions to ensuring the smooth operation of Office Services, you’ll always find Brian with an infectious smile and happy to help in our Houston headquarters.<\/p>\n

Brian is PROS 2023 President’s Club Culture Ambassador, a special award reserved to recognize an employee who embodies PROS values and culture of inclusion.<\/p>\n

We sat down with Brian to talk about his professional journey, proud milestones and how his passion for people contributes to his success.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your journey to PROS.<\/h2>\n

My professional journey is a testament to dedication and adaptability. I started my administrative support career as a copy operator technician at Merrill Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. I then transitioned to an administrative support role in Austin, Texas, and eventually Houston, where I continue to excel in administrative support. My commitment to excellence led me to PROS, where for more than five and a half years now, I continue to thrive and grow in a leadership position leading a dedicated team.<\/p>\n

What do you enjoy most about your role and PROS?<\/h2>\n

I have a genuine love for people and their happiness, and leading a team of talented individuals towards a common goal is incredibly fulfilling. My leadership style emphasizes collaboration, communication, and empowerment, and I’m proud of the achievements we’ve accomplished together. I strive to create a positive and supportive environment where team members feel valued and motivated to excel.<\/p>\n

At PROS, I really enjoy the inclusive culture and variety of opportunities to learn, grow and build connections outside of our roles. It’s exciting and makes me proud to be part of a company that celebrates diversity, values all voices, and respects all employees.<\/p>\n

I enjoy participating in our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)<\/a>. I am an active member of four ERGs, and this year, stepped in as interim Co-President for Pride@PROS, our ERG dedicated to creating a community that fosters a positive environment for LGBTQIA+ and Ally members. It’s been an amazing experience, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know people across the organization.<\/p>\n

What is your proudest professional milestone?<\/h2>\n

Over my 20-year career in support roles, my proudest achievement is my ability to continually grow and adapt. This past year, I was recognized as a 2023 PROS President’s Club honoree, PROS highest recognition that celebrates our top outperformers across the business, receiving the special award of Culture Ambassador. This award is a testament to my dedication and passion for delivering exceptional service and is a great reminder that I can do anything I put my mind to.<\/p>\n

What do you enjoy doing outside of work that brings you joy and inspiration?<\/h2>\n

In my free time, I enjoy bike riding and spending quality time with my beloved dog, Labella Tiffany. Whether it’s exploring new park trails or simply enjoying nature together, these activities bring me joy and inspiration.<\/p>\n

What are you a PRO at?<\/h2>\n

I have always been fascinated by technology and its potential to streamline processes and improve efficiency. I enjoy exploring efficient and innovative solutions to enhance the workplace environment. Some examples of past innovative solutions I’ve implemented include integrating digital document management systems to reduce paper waste and implementing automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, resulting in increased productivity and cost savings for the company.<\/p>\n
