The Middle Market: PROS Pays $13.5M for SignalDemand

PROS Holdings Inc. (NYSE: PRO) has acquired SignalDemand for $13.5 million.

SignalDemand, headquartered in San Francisco, provides analytics and optimization for companies that need to make pricing, customer and channel decisions. The company’s product is used mainly by resource-based and commodity-driven businesses, including agri-businesses, food, chemicals, mills and wholesale distribution companies.

Houston-based PROS is a software company that aims to help customers use data to sell more effectively. In October, the company announced that it would buy Cameleon Software (Paris: CAM) for about $33 million.
