PROS Thought Leaders Selected to Deliver Presentations at Professional Pricing Society Spring Conference

Conversations center on how AI, machine learning are reshaping business agendas

HOUSTON, April 18, 2018 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a cloud software company powering the shift to modern commerce, today announced that three of the company’s thought leaders will deliver presentations at the Professional Pricing Society 29th Annual Spring Pricing Workshops and Conference. The speakers – Joe Dallimore, Caleb Jones and Justin Silver – will offer in-depth insights into how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning are reshaping business agendas in the digital era.

This year’s spring conference will be held at the Loews Chicago O’Hare on May 1-4, where PROS will also showcase its pricing and Smart CPQ solutions that optimize the selling experience across channels.

“In the digital era, companies are looking for new ways to deliver a modern commerce experience to accelerate sales and power their eCommerce platforms,” said PROS Chief Marketing Officer Celia Fleischaker. “The PPS conferences afford us with opportunities to meet with our customers, partners and prospects, and to hear firsthand from some of the brightest minds in the pricing industry.”

As artificial intelligence and machine learning become more important to corporate pricing practices, PROS thought leaders will offer insights into how companies can equip themselves to stay ahead of the competition:

  • Real-World Applications of Machine Learning in Pricing: Pricing professionals are looking to create strong foundations in theory and data science applications to achieve pricing excellence. PROS Senior Strategic Consultant Joe Dallimore and Justin Silver, Ph.D., PROS Senior Data Scientist, will explore how fundamental data analysis can be applied using familiar tools such as Excel to improve pricing effectiveness. Participants will learn through hands-on exercises how to quickly and effectively implement data-driven pricing strategies to drive organizational change.
  • Artificial Intelligence: What it Means for the Future of Pricing: To stay ahead of the competition, companies must embrace emerging tools including Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. PROS Strategic Consultant Caleb Jones will review the structure of both, and how different types of AI learning – from supervised, unsupervised, deep, reinforcement and active – fit into the application landscape. In this session, he will show how to evaluate next-generation tools to reach pricing excellence goals.
