PROS Thought Leaders Selected to Present at Professional Pricing Society Spring 2016 Conference
From Product Value Capture, Managing Pricing Leaks to Pricing Strategies, Topics Cover Pricing, Selling Issues Facing Companies Around the World
HOUSTON, April 13, 2016 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), the revenue and profit realization company, today announced that four of its thought leaders have been selected to present at the Professional Pricing Society (PPS) 27th Annual Spring Pricing Workshops and Conference. The company will also showcase its cloud-based solutions – PricingPRO and SellingPRO – at the Chicago event, scheduled for May 3-6 at The Loews Chicago O’Hare.
“The PPS conferences offer great opportunities to meet with customers, partners and thought leaders, and to share insights on the most important pricing, selling and profitability issues companies face,” said PROS Chief Marketing Officer Patrick Schneidau. “Customers are redefining their pricing and selling strategies with our cloud solutions. We will show firsthand how our applications with data science-based prescriptive analytics are helping organizations realize their revenue and profit potential.”
In three presentations, PROS thought leaders will highlight best practices for driving revenue and profit:
Product Differentiation: How to Discover and Capitalize on Your Product’s Value Drivers: According to a recent pricing study, 72% of all new products fail to meet their profit targets. In today’s globally competitive markets, pricing teams must understand both perceived and real attributes of product value, which enables them to protect margins and affect realized prices that drive revenue. In this full-day workshop – scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. – PROS Senior Strategic Consultant Nik Caruthers and Senior Industry Solutions Manager Valerie Howard will share how aligned pricing strategies can maximize product revenues and profitability in the wake of shortened product lifecycles, superseding products and channel price management challenges.
Practical Applications for Various Pricing Strategies: Companies often face tough market conditions when it comes to pricing their products, which makes the selection of a pricing strategy critical for meeting business objectives. PROS Vice President of Strategic Consulting Doug Fuehne will cover the pros and cons of four pricing strategies – cost plus, market-based, inventory-based and value-based – and what it takes to successfully implement each one. Fuehne’s session is scheduled for Thursday, May 5, at 1:00 p.m.
Cost to Serve: Managing Leakage and Influencing Behavior: Any number of factors affect the profitability of every customer, from discretionary discounting, rebates and service levels, to promotions and freight costs, just to name a few. In her session – scheduled for Friday, May 6, at 2:30 p.m. – PROS Senior Director of Strategic Consulting Tonya DeWeese will cover what’s material or impactful for driving profitability and show participants how they can drive changes, measure and execute for success.
