Pros Holdings Inc. (NYSE: PRO) hired D. Blair Crump to fill the newly created role of chief operating officer.

Crump will lead the sales, marketing and professional services for Houston-based Pros, which offers big data software to companies looking to optimize sales and pricing.

He most recently served as president of San Francisco-based Salesforce.com Inc.’s (NYSE: CRM) global enterprise business group. He also has served as president of Verizon Business’s worldwide sales and consulting services business, and he spent the first 20 years of his career at MCI, which is now part of New York-based Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ).

“Crump is a recognized, high-performance leader, who has had tremendous success building teams that drive growth,” Pros President and CEO Andres Reiner said in a statement. “As we continue to scale our business, his experience leading large enterprises and global organizations adds even greater depth to our leadership team.”

In October Pros made its first acquisition in its 28-year history, and it announced its second acquisition in December.
