PROS thought leaders selected to present at American and European conferences
HOUSTON, October 24, 2018 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a provider of AI-powered solutions that optimize selling in the digital economy, today announced its global premier sponsorship and significant presence at the Professional Pricing Society (PPS) 29th Annual Fall Pricing Workshops & Conference and 14th Annual European & Global Pricing Workshops & Conference, including a keynote presentation by PROS Chief AI Strategist, Michael Wu, Ph.D. The events are scheduled for Oct. 23-26 at Dallas’ Renaissance Addison Hotel and Nov. 28-30 at Amsterdam’s Movenpick Hotel, respectively.
“Artificial intelligence (AI) is proving its power to radically transform industries and disciplines, and pricing is no exception,” said Dr. Wu. “In order for the pricing industry to fully leverage the potential of AI, pricing professionals must understand it in a practical way, and help their organizations make changes to accommodate its disruptive force. My colleagues and I look forward to talking to, learning from and connecting with other PPS members to discuss the exciting shifts on the horizon.”
Along with Dr. Wu’s keynote presentation, “How the Pricing Industry Can Realize the Benefit of AI,” at the PPS Fall Conference on October 25, PROS pricing experts will lead the following workshop and breakout sessions:
- “Establishing the Pillars of Your Price Organization” on October 24, presented by Charles Sweeney, PROS Director of Strategic Consulting and Ben Blaney, PROS Senior Strategic Consultant. This workshop will address how globalization and omnichannel transparency demand that pricing professionals reevaluate their approach to pricing, with a hands-on look at how to create successful pricing strategies and leverage machine learning and automation for continuous improvement.
- “Sense and Cent’s Ability: Getting Pricing Projects Approved with Data and Facts” on October 25, presented by Tracy Cannon, PROS Strategic Consultant
- “From (Spread) Sheet to (C) Suite: Tips for Pricers on How to Communicate with Their Executive Team” on October 25, presented by Fabio Freitas, PROS Strategic Consultant
At the PPS European Conference in Amsterdam, Sweeney and Blaney will lead a workshop on November 28 that explores the same theme of maximizing revenue with a new, technology-driven approach to pricing strategy. In addition to the workshop, Valerie Howard, PROS Solution Strategy Director, will lead a breakout session, “The Elusive Perfect Price: Letting Go of Price Lists and Enabling Dynamic Pricing Strategy” on November 30.
“Understanding how pricing impacts the buying process is mission-critical for companies looking to win in the digital economy,” said Valerie Howard, PROS Solution Strategy Director. “The PPS Conferences offer an unmatched opportunity for pricing professionals and thought leaders to come together to push the boundaries of the industry, and the PROS team is thrilled to be part of both the Dallas and Amsterdam events.”
