PROS to Host Special Guest Isis Anchalee
HOUSTON, Oct. 8, 2015 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a big data software company, today announced that a member of its data science team, Ezgi Eren, Ph.D., will deliver an address at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference, the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. The event, scheduled for Oct. 14-16, will be held in Houston.
Eren will make her presentation on Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. Titled “Optimization and Big Data: An Application from Car Rental Pricing,” she will discuss the computational challenges of using large scale, multi-dimensional data that enabled a large U.S.-wide car rental network to make daily pricing updates.
BLAZE, the PROS women’s network, also announced plans to host as its special conference guest Isis Anchalee, a San Francisco software engineer whose hashtag #ILookLikeAnEngineer was popularized following her Bay-Area company’s recruiting campaign.
