PROS Selected for New Software Architecture Initiative in the Chemical Industry
New Microsoft Chemical Reference Architecture will help customers implement unified architecture for prescriptive pricing
HOUSTON, September 21, 2011 – PROS (NYSE: PRO), the world leader in pricing and revenue management software, today announced its participation in the Microsoft Chemical Reference Architecture (ChemRA) Initiative. The ChemRA Initiative is led by Microsoft and its industry partners and customers to develop a unified information technology (IT) architecture that will help address some of the business and technical challenges facing chemical and oil refining companies.
ChemRA will address technology integration on a holistic basis throughout the full scope of the chemical and oil refining industry ecosystem. It will also provide a blueprint for a unified architecture that will support enterprises in these industries to build powerful applications that address user needs while being interoperable, easy to maintain and easily adaptable to their current IT environment.
