PROS to Showcase Data-Driven Smart Applications at Manufacturing Pricing Excellence Conference

HOUSTON, May 19, 2015 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a big data software company, today announced its participation and sponsorship of the Manufacturing Pricing Excellence Conference. The event, scheduled for May 20-22 in Barcelona, will be held at the Barcelo Sants hotel. PROS will spotlight the breadth of its enterprise product portfolio at the event.

PROS Vice President of Business Consulting, EMEA, Michael Immenschuh will participate in a pricing roundtable discussion on Thursday, May 21, at 1:20 p.m., sharing best practices for successful pricing implementations.

Immenschuh will also participate in a pricing track on May 21, at 4:25 p.m., titled “The Pricing and Sales Professions – Where We Have Come From and Where We Are Going.” He will discuss how new approaches are accelerating the adoption and success of pricing initiatives; involving customers in the pricing decision; and capitalizing on a data-driven approach to pricing and selling.

  • Perstorp Group Executive Vice President, Regions and Group Management, and Perstorp AB President Mikael Gedin will participate in a panel on Thursday, May 21, at 11:45 a.m., titled “CEO, CMO and CSO Take the Stand – the Benefits of Pricing Leadership.” The panelists will discuss whether a company’s pricing function should reside within sales, marketing, finance or other groups.
  • Perstorp AB Vice President of Performance Excellence & Change Management Mikael Ekblad will participate in a breakout session on Friday, May 22, at 11:10 a.m. titled “Studio Pricing – Innovation in Pricing.” While many companies use cost or competition as the main basis for setting prices, this session will share details on how innovation in pricing tactics, strategy and in organizing the pricing function can have a substantial and immediate impact on profitability.
