PROS Honored with Society for Technical Communication Intercom Award

Intercom Editorial Advisory Panel and STC Board of Directors acknowledge PROS Content Strategy Team

HOUSTON, May 25, 2017 – PROS (NYSE: PRO), a cloud software company powering the shift to modern commerce, today announced it has been honored by the Society for Technical Communication (STC) as the recipient of the Intercom Award for Outstanding Magazine Article. PROS received the award during the STC Honors Reception at its annual Technical Communication Summit, the premier conference for technical communication education and networking, at the Gaylord National Resort in Washington, D.C.

The STC selected the winning PROS article, “Measuring Content Like a Marketer: Getting Started with Web Analytics,” for clearly and enthusiastically explaining how to collect quantitative and qualitative data about web-based help and support content, how to use it to strengthen future content and how to persuade stakeholders of the value of technical communication. The article, focused on the PROS Connect customer support portal, was written by three members of the PROS Content Strategy team: Jenn Carlos, PROS senior corporate communications manager; Vivianne Costa, senior product manager; and Travis Kelly, content strategist. Both Costa and Kelly hold Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIC) certifications.

PROS Connect is the entry point for customers to submit support tickets for technical questions related to the company’s product portfolio. Data is captured directly through a tracker to enable the content strategy team to monitor content performance and user behavior with all “help” resources. PROS uses the data to understand how to increase the breadth and “findability” of high-performing content, optimize low-performing content and ultimately take the guesswork out of where to begin.
