PROS to Showcase Smart Applications for Pricing and Selling at Professional Pricing Society San Francisco Conference

HOUSTON, Oct. 6, 2015 – PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a big data software company, today announced its participation in the Professional Pricing Society (PPS) 26th Annual Fall Pricing Workshops and Conference. The event, scheduled for Oct. 20-23 in San Francisco, will be held at The Palace Hotel. PROS will spotlight the breadth of its enterprise product portfolio at the event, including smart applications for pricing and selling.

During the conference, PROS executives and customers will share insights on how pricing leaders can outperform in their businesses:

  • PROS Strategic Consulting Director Caleb Jones will lead a one-day workshop titled “Best Practices in Pricing Analytics” from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 21. The workshop will explore dashboard design strategies, including aesthetics and ergonomics. Attendees will learn how to construct analytics charts aimed at composition, comparison, relationship and distribution analysis.  

  • Johnson & Johnson (DePuy Synthes) Director of Pricing Strategy and Analytics David Mok will lead a breakout session in the Pricing Practitioners track titled “Navigating the Perfect Pricing Storm” at 1:00 p.m. on Oct. 22. In the breakout, he will highlight a healthcare pricing case study and the holistic pricing framework that helped an orthopaedic company adjust to the Affordable Care Act regulations.

  • PROS Strategic Consultant Charles Sweeney will hold a breakout session in the Sales Operations/Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) track on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 3:30 p.m. Titled “6 Steps to Maximizing Your CPQ Investment,” Sweeney will discuss the critical importance pricing plays in CPQ, plus top reasons for failure and under-delivery, and strategies to avoid those pitfalls.

  • BRF Brasil Foods Pricing Manager Fabio Freitas will hold a breakout session in the Pricing Practitioners track on Friday, Oct. 23, at 2:30 p.m. Titled “Optimizing Pricing in a Highly Dynamic Market,” Freitas will share how to choose the most profitable channels, foster cross-team collaboration, drive insights from buying behaviors and set the right prices.
