One of our favorite employee events of the year, our PROS came together for a special Diwali celebration hosted by SAHARA, our South Asian Employee Resource Group.
Together, we learned about Diwali traditions like lighting the lamp, a symbol of light triumphing over darkness, and joined in games that brought everyone together. The celebration was filled with dance performances, flavorful Indian food, and great company and conversation that deepened our appreciation for the culture and community.
Our CEO, Jeff Cotten, and Chief Product Officer, Sunil John, joined to share warm wishes and reflect on the power of community and inclusion during this special time of year.
Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali is celebrated around the world to symbolize light over darkness and good over evil. Traditionally people light diyas (oil lamps) and candles to illuminate their homes and hearts. Each of the five days holds its own meaning – celebrating wealth, prosperity, gratitude, and renewal.
This annual celebration is part of our Learn & Connect series, DEI flagship events designed to bring all employees together through learning, connection, and celebration. Organized by our Employee Resource Groups, employee teams and program managers, these events are some of our most anticipated and popular culture events each year.
Thank you to SAHARA and everyone who joined to make this celebration so meaningful. Here’s to continuing to spread light, inclusion, and connection all year long!
Happy Diwali from all of us at PROS!
