Let’s get to know Ashley!
Tell us about your journey to PROS.
My background is in healthcare software, where I worked as a project manager for nearly 20 years. Several of my former colleagues made the switch to PROS and they loved it! I was hesitant to leave my comfort zone in healthcare and enter into a new sector, but Rick Beaman (Senior Project Manager at PROS) encouraged me and helped me prepare for the interviews. The rest is history!
What do you enjoy most about working at PROS?
I cannot say enough about my experience at PROS. It is by far the best company and team I’ve ever been a part of. I love that my manager and the senior leadership team truly support us, always prioritizing work-life balance and stepping in when help is needed. My favorite thing about working in my current role is getting to implement a great product with an amazing team and building strong relationships with our customers. I thoroughly enjoy working at PROS and hope I am fortunate enough to spend many more years here.
Tell us about a cool project you are working on.
I am currently wrapping up a CPQ project with one of our customers, which has been very challenging, but also very rewarding. I see them becoming a very strong partner and love how excited their organization is about the PROS solution.
What do you do outside of work to recharge?
I often find myself recharging by vacationing and spending time with my family—we love to camp, play games, ride bikes, and relax at the beach. When I’m not with them, I enjoy playing tennis, working out, cooking, and Bible studying.
What are you a PRO at? What do your coworkers go to you for?
According to my 12-year-old daughter, I’m a PRO at “Mom-ing” and handling difficult situations—so I’m going with that! My husband and I are both very competitive, so I also love figuring out ways to beat him at cards, tennis, bowling, or whatever game we’re playing.
At PROS, I’m the go-to for navigating difficult conversations, relationships, or situations during implementations. I try to stay diplomatic and levelheaded while solving problems and treating others the way I’d want to be treated.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
A former colleague once told me to pray that God would open doors no one can close and close doors no one can open. That became my prayer during my job search, and it led me here. I can say without a doubt the Lord has provided exceedingly and abundantly more than I could ask or imagine through this opportunity at PROS.
