She reflects on how problem-solving, continuous learning and teamwork have defined a career spanning over two decades at PROS.
Let’s get to know Beryl!
Tell us about your journey to PROS.
It all started with a sign – literally! I saw a PROS hiring sign, applied out of curiosity about forecasting and joined as a Senior Software Engineer.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked on several exciting projects, including developing what is now PROS Smart Price Management and becoming the first sales engineer to configure its demo. After transitioning to Professional Services, I now focus on designing and implementing PROS systems while building trust with customers for long-term success. Over the years, I’ve learned that true customer satisfaction is about more than delivering results – it’s also about earning trust.
What do you enjoy most about working at PROS?
Over my 25 years at PROS, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects spanning the travel and B2B industries. I love the challenge of solving problems, even when I’m exploring something new. My favorite part of the job is learning about our customers’ businesses—each one offering unique insights into industries I might never have encountered otherwise. This experience has broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for how vast and interconnected the world truly is.
Watching PROS science evolve over the years has been incredibly rewarding, especially seeing the transformative impact our innovations have had on business operations and people’s lives.
Tell us about a cool project you are working on.
I’m currently working on multiple projects across various industries, all using PROS Smart Price Optimization.
As a Customer Solutions Owner, I listen to customers’ pricing challenges, understand their goals and translate their processes and pricing principles into PROS Smart Price Management and Smart Price Optimization solutions. I design systems using PROS cloud services to help them improve profitability and deliver fast ROI. Through these projects, PROS becomes a long-term partner, growing alongside our customers.
What are you a PRO at?
Years ago, I started sports dancing as an after-work exercise and even competed in several dance competitions. At PROS, my coworkers rely on me for expertise on product functions and configuration.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Use your heart to understand the customer.
