Let’s get to know Brian!
Tell us about your journey to PROS.

Before joining PROS I had been fortunate enough to develop as a multifaceted designer over the past 10 years in Sales and Marketing teams at USAA, a Tech Startup, and then the Texas A&M University System. All provided ample opportunities to expand my skillset with firsthand experience and in-depth guidance on how to elevate my strategic approach to new projects while still delivering high-quality content. When I discovered that PROS had a similar avenue for professional growth and presented the perfect opportunity to join them, I immediately had to vie for my first Senior Designer position that contributes to a profound global sales presence. I’ve had the absolute privilege of accomplishing many incredible projects, made possible by partnering up with the best minds of this outperforming company.
What do you enjoy most about working at PROS?

I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with like-minded colleagues who are just as passionate about their own roles. I also can’t exclude the inspiration that comes from meeting PROS employees with extensive tenure and hearing about how they overcame challenges and reached new heights. I look forward to connecting with even more talented people, all of whom have created a culture so welcoming, innovative, and supportive of my involvement from the start.
Bonus: Having participated in almost every PROS Cares event and serving as one of many ambassadors was truly gratifying.
Tell us about a cool project you are working on.
I’m enthusiastic about an ongoing project to launch a new Travel-themed PowerPoint Slide Repository for Sales teams to easily access through Letter.AI and extract information and data relevant to their accounts. We already own a B2B-themed version available through Letter.AI, but now we’re implementing another, catered specifically to our Travel products and accompanied by updated messaging. This has been a cross-collaborative team effort between Sales, Enablement, and Product Marketing – super grateful and eager to see it come to fruition!

What do you do outside of work to recharge?
When I’m off the clock, I’m up for new experiences in the Houston area, across the state, throughout the country and out of it. Especially if the next best outing involves my wife, Sarah, and our two dogs. At the same time I dial it back and set aside as many moments as humanly possible to enjoy the simple things in life: Concerts, scenic hikes, movie theaters (IPIC), standup comedy, trying some of the best eateries in the city, binging a new TV series, Texans games, Astros games, Rockets games, Dynamo games, a powernap in a hammock, the list goes on!
I’ve also always had a lifelong affinity for the arts, specifically visual. Every now and then I follow through with intricate illustrations or even digital mediums. At one point I had a couple of murals in certain places across Houston (I may consider doing another soon), and I’ve also leaned into photography of all sorts.

What are you a PRO at? What do your coworkers go to you for?
I may not claim to be a PRO – but I have been heavily involved in my own creative freelance gig and have an accomplished portfolio of clients I’ve been able to retain. What began as designing T-shirts has since expanded into services that aid new marketing platforms down to the minute details. This is partly due to my methods of observing what’s trending in the design industry and testing breakthroughs for creative software that integrates generative AI models, expediting the process. It’s a rewarding outcome to stay present in the full circumference of a design project and witness your sketches evolve into final files that go into production and are later interacted with or spotted in the wild.
At PROS, coworkers can reach me at any given time and request creative support. If someone has an urgent need, I’ll lend a hand and commit to expediting any R&D or design phases to help them meet deadlines. Frankly, the same applies to whoever outside of my team! Anyone from any given department can DM me, or better yet, set aside a little time and stop by my desk to discuss presentation/visual aid. I’m always prepared to talk shop!
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I recall one instance from 15 years back spoken by my very first manager that resonates with me to this day: “Tackle that most important and dreaded task at the start of your day, no matter how tedious, no matter how cumbersome.” A true measure of prioritization that I often consider. One critical task at a time, reducing distractions, and building upon that momentum. Anything to deter procrastination, save time, and gain productivity.
