Meet the PROS: Jimena Cesar

Meet Jimena Cesar, Senior Customer Success Manager at PROS, and competitive athlete! 🏃‍♀️🏓

Jimena is responsible for managing and strengthening customer relationships at PROS, working closely with clients to ensure our products consistently deliver meaningful value to their business. She plays a key role in driving customer retention and identifying opportunities for growth, helping customers achieve long-term success while supporting the overall health of our portfolio.

Tell us about your journey to PROS.

I joined PROS through the acquisition of EveryMundo a few years ago, seeing it as an incredible opportunity for personal and professional growth. My career journey here has been deeply rewarding. Since starting in Offer Marketing, I’ve had numerous opportunities to step beyond my comfort zone, leverage my strengths, and learn from exceptional colleagues and leaders who have helped me improve.

I’ve been fortunate to experience constant change within the same company, which I consider a tremendous advantage. At PROS, I’ve found extensive opportunities to expand my knowledge, develop new skills from talented peers, and gain insights into various industries through our diverse customer base.

What do you enjoy most about working at PROS?

One of the things I’m most grateful for in my career is the chance to travel and make great friends along the way, which is a big reason I enjoy working where I do. Throughout my career, I’ve been in client-facing roles, which suits me well. I’m a people-person with a genuine passion for strengthening my relationship-building skills. I love building strong, trustworthy relationships with our customers and colleagues alike, and I’m dedicated to growing as a manager and a supportive asset to those around me.

A favorite aspect of my role is the exposure I gain from different perspectives and scenarios. I work directly with people who have unique ways of thinking, working, and motivating others. As a Customer Success professional, I’m involved not only with our customers but also with teams across PROS. This diversity is incredibly rewarding, as it allows me to learn every day by seeing situations from different angles, which helps me improve and achieve my goals.

Tell us about a cool project you are working on.

At PROS, I’m focused on learning every aspect of the business to prepare myself to guide and support other CSMs in our field of work. It’s a whole new world for me, but it’s so interesting. Working with diverse industries and customers keeps the work dynamic and engaging. After spending the last 11 years in Offer Marketing, I see this new challenge as an exciting opportunity for personal growth.

My greatest personal project is my family. I have two wonderful young children, ages 3 and 2, and an amazing husband who brings me immense joy. Family is one of the core pillars of my life, and I’m dedicated to supporting each of them in reaching their full potential. As the third of four children, I deeply value my siblings and am forever grateful for all that my parents provided us. Every day, I strive to give my kids a similar foundation, hoping they’ll one day appreciate family as much as I do and grow into the best versions of themselves, whatever they choose to become.

What do you do outside of work to recharge?

I love sports and have a competitive spirit, so I’m always up for a challenge—whether it’s going for a run, hitting a spin class, playing tennis, or trying anything that pushes me to test my limits!

What are you a PRO at? What do your coworkers go to you for?

I believe my coworkers would say I’m skilled at assessing situations objectively and calmly, helping to set a clear path forward while instilling confidence and empowerment in others. I think they see me as someone they can rely on—someone who genuinely cares about their work, collaborates closely, and approaches every task with the same commitment as if it were my own.

Outside of my job, I wouldn’t call myself a pro at any sport, but I do enjoy staying active and consider myself athletic, which allows me to play a variety of sports at a decent level. There’s always room for improvement, of course—but that’s part of the fun for me! I love the thrill of competition and the satisfaction of reaching new goals, whether it’s achieving a better run time, winning a match, or getting closer to beating someone more skilled.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be ready and willing to fight for what you care about. If you’re not willing to fight for it, then it could be a sign that it’s not a priority for you.
