Meet Stephany Gonzalez, Project Manager I, and PRO tattoo artist! 💫
Stephany manages customer-facing projects, aligning with client objectives, and coordinating cross-functional teams. She works closely with airlines to understand their needs and ensure they gain the most value from PROS products.
Let’s get to know Stephany!
Tell us about your journey to PROS.
Having worked in Maritime and Private Aviation, I was ready to explore a new vertical. I came across PROS on a job board, got a call back while I was visiting a customer in Hawaii, and a couple of weeks later I was in the HCC office for interviews. I joined as an Implementation Consultant, and at the start of the pandemic I moved into the Products org as a Quality Engineer for the Group Sales Optimizer product. Following an organizational change mid-2025, I returned at the end of the year as a Project Manager. My personality and work ethic made me an asset to my original department, and they welcomed me back with open arms.
What do you enjoy most about working at PROS?
At one point, it was the people and culture! Now, I’d say the freedom to work remotely. In my current role, my favorite part is traveling to customer sites—being immersed in their cultures, tasting delicious food, enjoying colorful sights and music, and learning through those experiences.
Tell us about a cool project you are working on.
I’m currently working on several implementations for our GSO product involving a relatively new form of payment, BSP Cash, through IATA (IFG). We’re finalizing workflows and procedures to streamline these implementations, while also strengthening our partnership so they can help us promote GSO.
In my personal life, I’m also working on getting my medical tattoo certification and licensing. I’m excited to help people with scars, amputations, mastectomies, or other bodily traumas see their bodies in a new way—focusing on what they can be, rather than just the trauma they carry.
What do you do outside of work to recharge?
I started bodybuilding this year, and it’s been a great way to relieve stress and keep moving. I don’t lift heavy or compete with anyone but myself. I focus on proper movement and feeling, making sure I avoid injury and get the most out of each workout.
What are you a PRO at? What do your coworkers go to you for?
I’m a PRO at hosting, coordinating, and executing events. Many of my colleagues know me from MCing PROS events, being involved with Employee Resource Groups or Wellbeing Innovation team initiatives, or even from my posts on Viva Engage. I tend to be everywhere, and I like to make myself known.
Coworkers usually come to me for a good laugh. I might not always have the exact answer, but I’ll make people smile while pointing them toward someone who can help. When I first joined, I was told about the “PROS gene”—something that has faded over time—but I still remember the warm welcome I got as a newbie. I try to give that same experience to others. My coworkers would probably say I’m the person you go to in order to find the right person, because “I don’t know” isn’t in my vocabulary. If I can’t figure it out with you, I’ll help you find folks who can!
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Work as if you own the company. Even if others don’t always recognize your efforts, your team will, and that kind of support system is invaluable. When setbacks happen, don’t take them personally. Instead, use them as motivation to return stronger, grow in your career, and demonstrate the value you bring.
