Why Are You Still Selling?

Dear B2B businesses: I don’t mean to sound rude, but I think we have gotten to know each other a little better over the years, and frankly, I think you need to know something. You have some habits that are honestly not healthy — like trying to sell stuff to people.

Of course, I don’t mean that you should give things away. That wouldn’t work very well as a sustainable business model, even if it looks good when you toss in phrases like “market share” and “disrupt the competitive landscape.” Your products are good, and you deserve to get paid for them. But you need to stop trying to sell them. After all, selling stuff is so 2019.
