PROS, YRC Selected to Participate in SMC3 Logistics, Transportation Panel

HOUSTON, June 26, 2018 – PROS®(NYSE: PRO), a cloud software company powering the shift to modern commerce, today announced that it will join forces with YRC Freight in a panel at the SMC3Connections Conference. The Southern Motor Carriers Association event is scheduled for June 25-27 at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

The Connections conference – this year themed “Raise Your Supply Chain IQ” – is held annually each June. It explores emerging trends, current challenges and new innovations in the supply chain. The conference touches virtually every aspect of today’s modern, complex supply chain and brings together experts who dissect the current state of the industry.

PROS Senior Strategic Consultant Suzanne Grimes and YRC Freight’s Jason Dillavou, Manager of Pricing Strategy and Technology, have been invited to participate in a panel titled “Strategic Analytics: Maximizing Data and Information Value” led by Jeff Berman, Group News Editor with Peerless Media. The panel will examine how predictive analytics carefully evaluate available information to predict future events and how prescriptive analytics make it possible to automatically adjust rules criteria based on changing circumstances. Panelists will discuss how effectively leveraging data is increasingly critical to maintaining a competitive advantage in the logistics industry.

“Our customers look to us to quote faster and with greater transparency across our channels,” said Gene Bartholf, Vice President of Pricing and Yield Management with YRC Freight. “Data-driven solutions from PROS enable us to drive better outputs and customer interaction with fewer errors and far greater efficiency. Our SMC3panel will provide an overview on how we’re using data to respond to our customers with far greater agility.”

“In today’s digital era, companies are looking to provide their customers with the rapid, personalized buying experiences and offers that will help them win business,” said Jeff Robinson, PROS General Manager for Transportation and Logistics Solutions. “Companies are using data, powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, that enables them to accelerate sales and retain profitability across every channel they serve.
