Ramesh Anantharaman: Hi, my name is Ramesh Anantharaman. I am the Senior Vice President for Revenue Management in flydubai. I’m responsible for all of commercial systems including revenue management systems.

Question: What PROS solutions is flydubai using today, and what key projects does PROS support?

Ramesh Anantharaman: We currently use the PROS Revenue Management solution and the PROS Pricing Shopping solution. These are the two products we currently use and PROS Revenue Management for the inventory management. And we are at this point in time, leg-based revenue management is what we use, and we use PROS pricing for our shopping.

Question: How do you view the role of AI in Revenue Management today and in the future?

Ramesh Anantharaman: I think AI has definitely made a difference to the way we used to do revenue management. We spoke about analytical AI versus generative AI, and I think all these few decades we have been focusing a lot on analytical AI and that’s definitely made huge leaps and bounds in the way we do the passenger revenue optimization. And I think with the advent of generative AI, I think it’s going to take it to the next level. And I’m fairly excited about where we are heading in terms of revenue management.

Question: What is behind the successful partnership of PROS and flydubai?

Ramesh Anantharaman: It has never been a vendor-customer kind of a relationship. We have been associated with PROS very, very long time and it’s on mutual trust and looking towards common goals for all of us. And we share the challenges, and we share a common vision for not just success, for our benefit and success for PROS too. And we have had fantastic support from the PROS management team and that’s what has kept this relationship going for a very, very long time.
