PROS Platform Travel Winter Release

PROS Platform Travel Winter Release aims to introduce continued enhancements in key areas to enable the transition to modern airline retailing. We’re offering new functionalities to support excellence across Offers–spanning optimization, creation, and marketing–where PROS leads the market.

By introducing new features that help improve offer accuracy and conversion, while providing more control, and improved analytics to analysts, PROS empowers airlines to outperform the competition, drive business value, elevate customer experiences, and progress on their Offers and Orders journey.

NDC Capabilities for Offer and Order Management

To aid the airline’s transformation to Offers and Orders, we now support Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) Cash Payments, simplifying transactions with the industry-wide BSP system. This feature improves the airline-agent relationship and diversifies payment options across channels for greater flexibility.

The new VOID Capability enables a ticket to be removed on the same day of its issuance without going through the refund process, allowing agents to void tickets independently. It streamlines the voluntary cancellation process and reduces reliance on airline call canters, reducing unnecessary workload for enhanced efficiency.

Offer Optimization

To support dynamic offer creation PROS continues to invest in market-leading dynamic pricing capabilities.

In addition to assigned seating, the PROS Dynamic Ancillary Pricing solution is now in production with a customer to dynamically price baggage charges and improve revenue from this ancillary stream. Further enhancements in PROS Real-Time Dynamic Pricing also complement dynamic pricing capabilities across the right-to-fly/fare.

Below is a complete look at the new features:

Real-Time Dynamic Pricing (RTDP)

PROS RTDP welcomes three new capabilities. The new Fare Viewer Screen provides analysts with greater visibility into fare progression and availability data and empowers them to make more informed decisions and market tactics. With the Transformed Fare Attenuation Market Strategy, they now have better control and visibility in influencing transformed fares, with the ability to scale fares between the daily and transformed fare for markets on Willingness-to-Pay (WTP) forecasting. And last, leveraging the Channel-level Business Analytics, analysts can now identify and address channel-specific issues while effectively tracking and optimizing channel performance.

Group Sales Optimizer (GSO)

With the Digital Contract Acceptance feature, PROS GSO transforms how travel agents manage group bookings. The enhancement digitizes the Terms & Conditions review process, allowing travel agents to easily track and confirm contract acceptance. Separate complementary workflows are also available to add acceptance details, either automatically by the travel agent or manually by the airline sales or RM representative.

Revenue Management (RM)

In PROS RM solution, the Protection User Influence (PUI) feature is now available specifically for point-to-point carriers. It allows analysts to set class protections based on specific business needs, usually around retail or promotional targets, allowing more precise class management.

Offer Creation and Retailing

As part of the Winter Release, a number of enhancements are also introduced across PROS Airline Offer Creation and Retailing portfolio.

Shopping and Pricing

Enhanced tax rules logic is now applied for accurate sector-based tax assessment during pricing, improving offer accuracy and consistency. It also helps reduce tax errors, improving customer satisfaction and saving costs related to over- or undercharging.

The Reservation Booking Designator (RBD) and routing validation diagnostic output, on the other hand, facilitates troubleshooting, improves user experience through straightforward messages, and increases analyst efficiency by reducing support tickets.

In addition, the Scheduled Fare Data Refresh ensures the latest data is used for affinity shopping purposes, aligning it with promotional schedules.

Re-shopping and Repricing

Additionally, thanks to optimized processing refund requests are now processed up to 20% faster, enhancing user experience for airline agents and customers during ticket cancellations. The re-shopping experience is also improved with the correct processing of subsequent ticket reissues by accurately retrieving fares using multiple historical dates and seamlessly handling of complex reissue scenarios.

Ancillary Merchandising

With the Winter Release, PROS improves ancillary merchandising capabilities for airline customers. The significant segment price processing ensures using the longest segment for precise fare calculations and flexibility in pricing strategies. Moreover, the seat service target in ancillary catalog requests allows seat service processing only when requested, optimizing system performance and usage.

Digital Retail

Customers’ flight changes are also made easier now with the order rebooking prior to departure feature in the PROS Digital Retail, allowing flight date modification to be made quickly through an intuitive interface. The enhancement offers flexibility, improves the customer experience, and increases revenue opportunities through upselling during rebooking.

The latest airTRFX upgrades are designed to enhance user experiences, drive engagement, and optimize marketing workflows.

The enhanced airTRFX interlinking module boosts engagement and amplifies SEO performance. With new link types for seamless interlinking between pages and customizable display options tailored to design needs, these improvements empower marketers to create dynamic, user-centric modules that drive traffic and engagement.

With the updated Campaign UI on airTRFX Control, users can now enjoy a more streamlined experience, with definitions and containers accessible in one unified interface for faster campaign creation. New features like direct module insertion, campaign container reordering, and tagging for easy organization make it simpler to add content and manage campaigns.

The latest version of airTRFX for Vacation Packages introduces enhanced user experiences, and increased performance in our state-of-the-art technology. With a new interlinking module for SEO enrichment, new module visualizations and filters offering further flexibility, and an improved booking experience, this new version optimizes page performance, is created for flexibility and streamlines workflows for maximum impact.

airModules

We’ve expanded the airModules portfolio with three new products, enabling marketers to showcase prices more easily and quickly, as well as enable booking options across multiple verticals.

Updates to airModules further enrich the user experience with enhancements like the Multiple Travel Classes airModule. This new product enables marketers to showcase travel class options side by side, increasing visibility and potential upgrades, driving higher-value bookings, and strengthening competitive positioning. For travelers, it delivers an intuitive and transparent booking process, boosting confidence in their decisions while making it easier to explore and choose the best options.

The Cross-sell Search Panel airModule simplifies travel planning by integrating booking flows for flights, hotels, cars, activities, and packages. This enhances upsell opportunities and strengthens loyalty and competitive positioning, boosting user engagement and conversions.

The Low Rates Carousel airModule is the latest addition to our Hospitality portfolio. This compact, engaging interface lets marketers showcase the best rates while offering travelers customizable filters to tailor their search. Like all airModules, it enables distribution at scale, boosting booking visibility and driving sales for marketers. Travelers enjoy a faster and more satisfying booking experience.

Data Analytics

We’re enhancing analytics with AI-powered insights for airTRFX KPIs. This feature simplifies complex data into clear, actionable insights, helping marketers save time and improve campaign results. It automatically identifies and explains trends, key drivers, and unusual data patterns.

The new organic search data set for SEM provides valuable insights into how routes are raking in organic search. This data set provides route keyword data from a dedicated Advanced Web Rankings (AWR) profile, enabling airlines to leverage organic search insights to optimize SEM bidding strategies, enhance search visibility, and improve digital marketing performance. Travelers benefit from better visibility of relevant flights during both organic and paid searches, making the booking process smoother and more efficient.

airWire

Introducing customized output fields for Catalogs (airWire endpoints), designed to save time and effort for marketing teams. This new feature simplifies the endpoint creation process by using intuitive, easy-to-set-up schemas that can be modified as needed. Ideal for customers handling a high volume of Catalogs, it empowers them to stay agile and aligned with your ever-evolving marketing goals.

Adding a new feature that enables precise route-based filtering within airWire feeds to eliminate the need for manual adjustments. With this update, marketing teams can align campaigns more effectively with strategic routes, streamline setup processes, and improve targeting flexibility. Designed to save time and reduce complexity, this feature enhances airWire’s value as a powerful tool for managing campaigns across multiple routes, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
