Luis Peniche: Hello, my name is Luis Peniche and I’m the Director of Revenue Strategy and Innovation for Aeromexico.

Question: What PROS solutions is Aeromexico using today, and what key projects does PROS support?

Luis Peniche: The current solutions that we are using are GSO-A, and actually we’re in the process of migrating to GSO-U and we are also using RMA.

Question: What major challenges is PROS helping Aeromexico address?

Luis Peniche: I think since we adopted PROS solution, we’ve seen a change in the way we manage revenue at Aeromexico. We went from doing basically availability managing to O&D revenue management, which is the next generation. So, this is a tool that has helped us change the way we think about revenue management, especially because we now rely on doing a good forecast along with PROS tools to get a good outcome instead of just going to manage availability as in the olden days.

Question: What outcomes have you witnessed and why do they matter to Aeromexico?

Luis Peniche: Well, we went through really bad times during COVID. We actually filed for bankruptcy, and now we were able to get out of bankruptcy and we are having strong results after that, while using PROS solutions.

Luis Peniche: These new solutions that we are seeing today, mostly AI, it’s the next big step. So, I guess all airlines are heading that direction, and I guess this is something we have to think thoroughly about and that’s the way we should be heading in the next few years. So, a lot of material to think about and to consider for our next steps for sure.
